I guess it's possible, but I find it difficult to believe there's been this much success lately with killing yourself via doorknob.
I mean. You're sitting there on the floor...you're not hanging (and thus having all that weight around your neck). Even if you do manage to pull the scarf tightly, there still isn't the constant weight of your body tightening the noose around your neck...and thus plenty of opportunity to try and loosen the damn thing as your body's survival instincts take over...
Just seems like a very strange (and terribly inefficient) way to try and kill yourself, if you indeed want to end your life.
