The press is the enemy in most part, they fan the flames of racial unrest. Most of the times they don't outright lie, they just tell half the story.
One of the most disgusting headlines happened a couple years ago and I don't feel like digging it up it read something similar to this:
"Another unarmed black man killed by police."
Most of the articles I read implied the guy was trying to flee police in a vehicle from a traffic stop and they just opened fire on him. The whole truth was he was trying to escape in a stolen car, the officers were able to force him off the road and had him stopped and boxed in. When officers approached from all sides he rammed his way out and was trying to run over one of the officers, that is when they opened fire.
Of course most people do not go digging around for the real truth and some just flat out just read the headlines or watch short sound bites on the TV news.
