This is very disappointing as the system was successfully tested for many months before going on the market. The problem is that the current timing systems at several tracks is so error prone that it must be replaced. Hopefully, the GPS problem is just a hiccup caused by faulty installation, like the crappy job they did with putting in the synthetic surface at Santa Anita.
Somehow they never have these timing problems with Track and Field in the Olympics. What system do they use there?
