I don't, especially because you said that distrust of strangers is
learned behavior. If so, your kids had to learn it from someone.
If you can't see that we live in a dangerous world, then curing what ails your eyesight is beyond my pay grade. The "civilized" world is no different than living in jungle full of wild beasts and other dangerous animals. Maybe with one exception -- the jungle might actually be a safer environment since most animals are pretty predictable. The human species, though, not so much.
