Trump did little to bring about a vaccine beyond funding the research, which anyone would have done. In the meantime he refused to endorse common sense rules to mitigate the pandemic and espoused nonsense so called cures. After the vaccine was approved distribution was sporadic and haphazard until Biden took office.
