It seems common to interpret globalism as internationalism. They aren't, one is an economic term the other is a political term. In fact, capitalist globalism and socialist internationalism are actually diametrically opposed. One is the way things work/are and the other is the way people think things should be.
Globalism just IS and represents the natural trajectory of humanity. A one world government could someday be a by product of globalism but it certainly isn't an agenda and no one would say it is. Those that do are seeing an "ism" on a word and automatically need to decide whether they are for or against it. Globalism first appeared as a term in the United States as an explanation for the world economy and the desire to try and control it in order to preserve America's place at the top... nationalist globalism if you dare!
Tribalism->fuedalism->statism->colonialism->regionalism->globalism.
All were capitalist. The only difference is the market size and scope.
