Based on a recent 106 race study my optimal exacta plays would be the public's 3rd choice /my pace horse and reverse.
the straight exacta returned $1.43 on the dollar, the reverse $1.11
the straight exacta won 22 times, the reverse 24 times, for a win percentage 43%.
