This was back when Saeed bin Suroor was the only trainer for Godolphin if my memory serves. Every once in a while I'll watch the Cigar Mile replay to hear Durkin.
The best part... was the post race interview with very young members of the godolphin team that flew out to see him run at the AQU. (part of the royal family)
They were really excited to see him run saying how he was a Class horse....
they actually FLEW out to visit the Aqueduct. blew my mind
On another note: my Uncle's friend gifted me Silver Trains horse shoe from this cigar mile. Is was Christmas time.... and I opened a wraped box.. and BAM! Silver Trains shoe... I still have it. Probably the coolest racing item I own.
