Everything has risks, letting sleeping dogs lay is perfect here. No one wants to say how, just the why. All suggest Vietnam was something he should not have shut down, and Lyndon Baines Johnson reversed by executive action immediately after being sworn in. That was the coup d'ι·tat that had to happen, hitting the brakes on Vietnam was too much big money lost by one group.
