Forget about that. He's been talking publically and thinking about all this stuff for decades. People try and convince you Trump ran for president as some sort of lark and was absolutely clueless coming into the job.
Yet, there are interviews with him going back to the 80s where he talks about all the same stuff as he's talking about, and finally doing something about, today. Media has been asking him about running for president since forever. This wasn't something brand new...some sudden, crazy, hairbrained thought of his one morning - hey, I think I'll run for President!
All his critics though, will have you convinced he never thought about what it means to be President or what it's all about, before he ran. Nothing could be further from the truth.
