You don’t know what tyranny is, or freedom. Tyranny is not government enforcing laws to protect the majority of the population from the irresponsible actions of a few. Do you think the governments of Washington, Jefferson and others of the era didn’t enforce quarantines during outbreaks of smallpox, measles etc?
Government has the right, the duty, to protect its citizens. If this means temporarily inhabiting some their freedoms, I am fine with that. The key words being some and temporarily.
All of the actions taken by state, local and federal government during this pandemic have been temporary. In Illinois, where I live and in every region I know of, shut down orders are accompanied by metrics for ending the shutdown.
