Press the yellow button right above where you are typing...the one that looks like a postcard...with kind of a mountain range on it...then insert the link to the image...
If it comes up oversized, you can go back and edit the post and highlight the entire thing and click the RESIZE button (the one all the way on the right, yellow box with two blue arrow-thingys pointing at it). That will resize the image to make it fit the confines of the message board.
