Not sure there is any way to defend what Trump did today.
The near softball lob question wasn't that hard to answer. In short, do you trust your own intel sources of even those you have personally hired; or do you trust the word of a known tyrant, evil-doer, and bold-faced liar.
He put both on the same level as not knowing who to trust. Which in short is kicking us in the nuts. And some of his closest confidants.
I get that his ego gets in the way of not wanting to belittle his biggest accomplishment of being elected President of the United States, but if it is as petty as Putin vs. America, then the question isn't that hard to answer.
Would be one thing to say something so absurd on a flight or quick interview in the States. This was a major event for the whole world to see. No excuses. Absolutely none.
