They have moved the goalposts.
In the very beginning we wanted to flatten the curve and not overwhelm the medical system. Now they want to push vaccines AND continue with behavior controls (i.e. stay at home, wear masks, restrict larger gatherings, etc.).
And the great thing for them is that by using RT-PCR cycle thresholds that are unrealistically high (like 40-45) they can continue to create more (false) positives and manipulate the CASES count thus producing additional virus waves/surges at will.
