Even if a preemptive strike were to take place a bunch of redlines and maneuvering on the geopolitical landscape have to happen first. Plus a MASSIVE build up in the theater.
Vinson is currently in San Diego,
Nimitz at Bremerton, leaving only
Reagan in theater at Yokosuka.
