Never said we spend to much (for ourselves). However, I do have a problem when others are living up to the agreements they agreed to.

Cutting military spending is different the living up to our obligations (which we are) and then some.

Neither do I when its for us and not to protect those who only wish to take advantage of the situation, knowing our interest.
I think having a strong military to protect American interests throughout the globe ultimately benefits us here at home.

I think having a large economy across the pond that is more or less subserviant to us because it relies on us for defence is in our best interest.
Again, subservient means they should pay the little we ask them too...
I don't think entering into trade spats and attempting weaken that bloc is in our best interest.
Military spending is NOT trade so lets not deflect....
