We already have those. They're called super bugs, and are opportunistic and found prevalently in hospitals, due to over-use of antibiotics. (not viruses though)

I see this is going to be 4th grade science class. sigh.
I've been reading major virologist's blogs for well over 20 years, (as a hobby) .......not just when network news tells me I need to learn something that I learned in 4th grade . One of my close friends works with genomes, gene therapy and viral vectors and how viruses create pathways to transport their genomes to the inside the cells they infect. So I get to have lots of conversations about it.
Not real interested in the network news version, but thanks anyway. I simply entered the topic to suggest sites to read at.......
