As long as we have parties and multiple terms, we will have the scumbags that we have today on both sides of the aisle. Remember, they are a club, no matter what party they are in. And we are not members. Congress exists for itself and itself only. Every repub will choose any 'rat over us on any issue any day.

Politics between dems and repubs is like endless trench warfare. Gridlock.
You have to vote independent in order to give rise to a new party that can outflank them.
Think of it like a business. Why should I buy a shoddy, big name product (candidate A) because it is less shoddy than the other big name product (candidate B) if a great, less well-known product (write-in or third party candidate C) is available?
