That pink coding on the left means the track was speed favoring, horses on and near the lead did better than expected by a a good amount. It doesn't have anything to do with pace.

The pace does have an effect on that rating though. The fact the pace was slow raises the expectation pace horses would in fact do well, so this race is rated less heavily then others.

For this race in particular, we're saying it was a slow paced race on a speed favoring track. It is very possible all the off pace types have a legitimate excuse.
