Neurological tests are usually more extensive than finger squeezing. Every test I ever had along those lines during my recovery period started with the ability of my eyes to follow a moving finger left, right, up, and down without moving my head.
I'm still convinced she has lingering issues from her severe concussion and blood clot on her brain, but I would guess that wasn't a neurological test.
