Let’s start it’s the claim that Justice Breyer lied that there were 750,000,000 new cases of COVID yesterday. You’re confusing a lie with misspeaking. Looking at the transcript of the hearing, we see that on page 17 Breyer says there were 3/4 f a million cases or 750,000. Then on page 18 he says there were nearly a million but. Immediately corrects himself saying he doesn’t wan to exaggerate. Once again he uses th 3/4 of a million or 750,000 figure.
Later, on page 50 he uses the 750,000,000 figure. This time he doesn’t realize he has misspoken. And that is all it was.
Breyer has no reason to lie and any lie, to be effective has to be close to the truth. Nobody will believe that in a county of 330,000,000, 750,000,000 caught COVID in a single day. Thi s just another example of some Twitter numbskull making ludicrous claim and you falling for it.
