I can see how it could have been confusing/bad-beat, particularly if you had liked the horse and then Vic and/or the price tag had talked you off the horse, but you'll have more 5-1 shots.

I wasn't thinking in terms of owner/trainer making wagering profit.
I think it could have something to do with how income is taxed vs capital gains and this was some-kind of bonus paid by Winchell to Asmussen--there is no other way to explain it?
Vic had nothing to do with this, in MSW races I always evaluate owner with price they pay for the horse.
