LOL! Folks, don't react like sheeple to the FUD. Just use
PhotoRec. It is absolutely free and open source and it has been around forever. If PhotoRec can't recover the data, it is likely that no other software can.
After grabbing all available data with PhotoRec, you can use it's companion software,
TestDisk (also free and open source) to try and rebuild the partition (if the partition/journal is borked).
If PhotoRec doesn't work, then consider going to a specialist -- either there is no data to be recovered or there is probably a hardware/circuitry problem.
