I am halfway nuts but I have 1 insane idea.
Pay 15% of the purse to the leader after 1/4 of a mile. Pay 15% of the purse to the leader after 1/2 a mile.
OK, back to sanity as that can never work.
I have no solution. Just avoid many races at NYRA in turf routes, especially at the higher class levels.
In those cheap races, you many times get more action early.
