As to our intelligence agencies: shouldn't they be brilliant enough to be able to prevent foreign intelligence invasions before they happen? Shouldn't they be brilliant enough to know the covert games and be able to stay ahead of the technology? Shouldn't they be brilliant enough to be able to dissect information accurately before getting us into a war, e.g. those weapons of mass destruction? Shouldn't they?? Yet, Trump (or anyone) being skeptical of their abilities and, considering the current revelations of the 'witch hunt,' their possible intentions is considered, by some, to be a traitor and is guilty of treason?
