You expect the NFL to formally discuss the point spread?
There was a rules change in 2018:
“When a team wins a game with a touchdown as time expires in regulation, the team will no longer have to try an extra point or two-point conversion.”
I assume “losing team” is inferred as it would have no bearing on outcome.
