Thank you all for the replies - I am learning more and more about this horse racing game each day. Hopefully by Breeders' Cup time, I will make some informed and sensible horse wagers.
However, I am very confused. While flipping through my American Turf Monthly magazine, I noticed Gufo is listed as a "4 year old Colt," which is a "Young Male Horse" according to Collier's Encyclopedia.
This specific Breeders' Cup race below appears to be for "Filly and Mares" which are identified as either, "Filly: a young female horse, especially one less than four years old' or "Mare: an adult female horse."
Is Gufo more or less a Transgender animal? If so, how do they normally identify (for entry purposes)?
Thanks for any help.
