I have no problem with how schools are defending themselves these days. They'd be morons not to. That really wasn't what I was getting out.
I'm asking how *I* and everyone like me survived going to school 30 years ago, when guns, cowboys, Dirty Harry, and the like were all around us, and the schools were open door institutions, basically...
