Myself and a partner owned a couple of claimers back in the 90s.
Our deal was that we owned the horses, but the trainer split the purse money and the vet bills, with no day rate.
We won a few races and he seemed happy with the arrangement, and we got to have our pictures taken.
Does this happen anymore????
