Part of self-awareness includes being able to see both sides of a coin, as well as the matter between them.
That is what keeps marriage counselors busy, I guess, listening to people say "if only he/she would not be this way!"
If you want credibility, start seeing the whole spectrum of things, instead of thru the pin-hole of your partisan political agenda.
I said 7 months ago that they KEY to bringing the economy back was to squash this virus as hard and as much as we could, in whatever time-frames we had to do that. We all had more than one opportunity to do this. Our citizenry was not cooperative......on both sides.
Again, though, it's not about just dying. It's about the
false comfort people have that there will actually be a hospital bed, or even a place in a rehab facility, or trained staff, to care for them if they DO get sick (and not just from covid). That reality will be coming to them shortly.
Parx is a good example of how hard it is to continue to operate when you are about to run out of jockeys who aren't infected. And, have you read about the pilots who are flying cargo? Their numbers are being decimated and the ones who aren't sick are exhausted and can't keep working the kinds of hours and days that they have been. "keeping the economy open" eventually comes to it's own logical stop in this manner.
