The time was pretty slow for the derby when i heard a race later on the card wasn't that slow in comparison.

Actually the two races line up pretty much perfectly on my numbers, the Derby and R13. I used the same variant for both, which came out to a 2, as in 2 fast. Attached is a snippet of the worksheet I use which shows the two races.
