a guy i knew had a system in Baseball. if the home team won the prior day and they were playing a double header he would bet the home team in the first game, if that lost, he doubled up on the 2nd game with the home team again. so one year he was betting $100 units and won close to $1500 for that first year. the next year he stepped it up to $200 per unit, by the end of June he was out almost $15,000 and ran out of money to go the rest of the year.
