mastery

Mastery is undefeated in 3 starts but because of his broodmare sire, Old Trieste, I would not think of him as a sold contender in the Derby at 10 furlongs. Old Trieste was best going in sprints and middle distances. Mastery's conduit mare, Olympia, is not a strong source of stamina. Having Buckpasser as his fourth damsire is a plus.

Note: The above is just my opinion. Since the horse has done nothing wrong yet it is probably best to wait and see what happens when he is asked to travel 9 furlongs in a major prep race.
