Some stallions' owners, mostly the "non-first rate" ones, will discount or even make free a breeding if your mare has substantial black type. This does two things: if sold at auction, if improves the stud's average yearling auction prices, etc. and if a star on the racetrack improves the stud's progeny.
And I'm sure if you're breeding 10 mares to the same stallion, you're bound to get some kind of discount. I guess it would depend from farm to farm.
