No, fences/walls in local homes or even gated communities are logically sound analogies to border walls because as I pointed out earlier (and JR again!), the border wall is designed to keep criminals and other undesirable types out. This is also why many homeowners and private, gated communities have walls and fences around them.
Look at it this way: The U.S.A. is a sovereign nation with its own government and laws. As such, we could be likened to privately owned property. We're not public property that anyone on the planet can walk on at will, no more than anyone has a right to come unto my property uninvited and snoop around. Immigration is fine, as long as the guests (immigrants) are officially (legally) invited. All others can stay out!
