I have one word for that, Asians. The strong family values most those I know have is a strong reason they have overcome so much and are so successful in this country. They raise kids old school. You look at them as far as education, earning, and being law abiding, they surpass white people.
We all know who has the worst family values of an ethnic group and it shows.
I think another issue is removing the ass wiping as an option for punishment.
I was a hell of a lot more afraid of my parents than the cops or the school principal. Also there were a lot of eyes on you, when I was growing up all the parents on the block knew each other. I lost count of how many times I thought twice and decided not to do something for fear of being seen and getting my ass kicked and restriction. One of the things was trying cigarettes.
