He bets every race at every track , and his inane rhetoric JUST NEVER ENDS. When he realizes I've tuned him out, not to be deterred, he thrusts 15 dime super boxes in my face, fanned out like a deck of cards, evidently expecting me to scan and read them like some human computer, credit him for some great job of handicapping, and mournfully lament that such a genius could have possibly missed the super.

Somewhat contradictory to my rep amongst pals as a guy with a bad temper, unless provoked (to an EXTREME extent), I am unfailingly polite-to a fault. But I just can't take any more of this guy.

Any suggestions??
Usually, in cases like this, I'd recommend "do not engage". This usually results in the person finally giving up after being ignored.
However, this guy appears to be 'special'....He's the dog at the base of the tree barking at the cat in the tree. The normal dog eventually surrenders and saunters off. This dog has the endurance of a marathon runner.
Here's my suggestion.
Upon arrival, sit where you normally sit. Meanwhile, prior to the day's action, scope out a secondary location. If Mr Blabbermouth arrives, at the appropriate time, pretend to head to the rest room. Grab your stuff and head to location number two.
TW, this type of bettor, one who thinks covering every possible vertical combo, either has very deep pockets or a desire for financial self mutilation.
