Dave, if you need this kind of network topology you should consider using a cloud based solution; doing so will eliminate the need for physical machines as it will be trivial to create VMs using docker and spawn as many as you wish without the hassle of maintaining old machines.
Both AWS(Amazon) and azure(MS) can be used for this purpose:
