Kaep is too stupid to realize that rule changes have made higher passing ratings easier to achieve. Comparing QB ratings from now to the 80s and 90s is apples and oranges. A QB rating of 90 in 1988 was very good. A 90 rating is just meh now.
As for the NFL, the biggest problem isn't the anthem nonsense. It's all the rule changes which are turning the game into something that isn't football.
