Every one of them was against spending money on the wall. A few may have hedged a little after they saw how popular the idea was with Trump's core, but none of them wanted any of it.

There are republicans that think allowing this flood of illegals into the US and giving them amnesty will change the political climate for two generations and put democrats in complete control.
Trump wants to halt and even reverse some of it.
The rest of the republicans wanted to try to grow the tent and only moved a little to the right when they were getting their clock cleaned by Trump and the wall.
If he gets ANYTHING on the wall and security he will be the only one that could have possibly done it because of the others never wanted it. They consider it as driving Hispanics away.

None were Amnesty first.
Most were for a path to citizenship. Apparently Trump is now too..? Heightened border security and technology... literally all of them considered it top priority.. here:
Jeb Bush: Border security must come first in immigration reform.
But I digress what you wrote above as a major win for Trump sounds a helluva lot more like Jeb Bush than the guy who said he'd "round them up" and "ten feet higher."
