I've tabulated three different matrix plays;
full matrix
partial matrix < where the win odds on the top horse is < odds on the bottom
partial matrix > where the win odds on the top horse is > odds on the bottom
I excluded one race whose result at this time is a clear outlier 4/7/2021 IRE Gowran Park* Race 6
It's clear that the best performer was the partial matrix >, where the win odds on the top horse is > odds on the bottom.
it returned a profit in all winning races. 8 out of 16 races returned a $1 profit of $1.16
