Until Grindstone did it, think Black Gold was the only winner of the LA Derby and the Ky Derby. Risen Star, to me, was the best LA Derby winner over the last 40 years or so.

War Emblem ran in the earlier preps (Lecomte and Risen Star) but not in the La Derby.
