Even so, she keeps a great attitude and has a fight in her I could only hope to have. She has recently applied for a job with the local pro sports team, not too hard to figure out, and made it through three rounds of interviews. An email was sent today and I'm nearly sure it means she made it, has one final interview with a VP but reads like she has been selected. Fingers crossed!
All that said, she needs a kidney transplant and I'm first in line to donate. We found out last month I am a match. I have to have some tests Thursday to make sure I'm healthy enough to donate and don't have any undiscovered conditions. There is nothing I want more than to be able to give her a normal life back, so please think good thoughts that all goes well! If it does, transplant will most likely be in early June. Both of my other children are willing donors too, but if I can avoid them having to do it, that makes it a double win for me.
I'll keep everyone updated when I find out my test results!

Wow, I'm hoping this works out for both of you and family as well. We have some experience with a neighbor girl, friend of my daughter had kidney failure in her early teens. She recd. one from her dad, and a second one from an aunt, when the first one finally failed. She married and raised a beautiful daughter, who is our neighbor now. My wife and I both took her for dialysis treatments after her mom passed at 50 to cancer. She was so tough and never whined or complained. It made me realize what toughness really is. Prayers for you all.
