Asia was poor as dirt prior to WWII, Europe devistated by the stockmarket crash. Hitler's rise was in part to the dispair gripping the german people. Around that time China was nothing .The boom that happened in these United States was more to do with peace and manufacturing that shifted back from making war products to consumer items. No one was ever in position to drive the US economy better than our local companys.
