As a bettor, I'd be more eager to bet against if a sprint happened to draw a hot and quick-breaking pace, than if he runs 8.5f with a normal route pace.

He figures to just be as loose in a normal route. No distance concerns there.

See no issue with the 1m, 8.5 with him, and a lot of 9f races he could win with tactics alone regardless of whether he actually is suited to go that far.

The pressure of the success, sort of points him towards specializing in a sprint, so it's very cool to see the MET as a goal.

San Carlos used to be a G2 in March 7f... IDK... then Santa Anita Derby Card day is in April. I don't know why they couldn't find or write a 1m 1/16th or 1m soft G2 for him.

Who knows? A healthy, thriving Flightline + a loaded field would make for a special event.
