I remember in the 80's back when the programs were just a little booklet and
you had to buy a form to get the pp's every booklet contained a system. This
was at Penn National and I remember one where you added all the speed
figures of the entered horses last 2 races divided by the entries in the race
and only looked at the ones above the average. That's all I remember but
whatever the remaining rules were it won 4 races that night. I could have
gone back 20 times and maybe not hit a race but systems are just that one
way of picking horses . Penn National was famous for putting there sheets out
with 2 or 3 races left on the card. They would put them on a table on the
second deck you could smell the mimeograph odor. When I speak to old timers
now everybody remembers going to the 2nd deck and getting high on the
newly printed sheets. Back then they sold Mikes Pink Card, Jacks Little Green
Sheet, AD_TAB, Hersheys Gold Sheet, and one more I can't remember .
But on the 2nd deck they all had 3 winners even if you had the same card
they just " rearranged their faces and gave them all another name." quote from
Bob Dylan
