In the words of Lee Corso, ...Not so fast, my friend!
Last night , republicans picked up a south Texas state senate seat that has been democratic since the civil war. The democrat state senator that vacated was sent to prison for eleven felony convictions. The repub won the special election, defeating a dem that had nearly 100% name recognition and raised a LOT more money than the republican that pulled the upset.
The dem party here is fractured, maybe worse than the DNC was two years ago. Read the Dallas Morning News article today about it. A state dem leader is quoted saying the party is like crabs in a bucket.
All the talk about a Texas blue wave is nonsense. The tide is out. As far as Cruz goes, he needs to be consistent and get the vote out. Do that, he wins.
