Trump will easily defeat DeSantis in any serious head-to-head poll in 2023 when the campaign really begins. And, DeSantis does lengths better than Mitt Romney, Nicki Haley, Tim Scott, Ted Cruz and other hopefuls.
Trump is the Republican Party. He did dozens of fund raisers around the country for Republican candidates and raised well over $300 million. No other Republican comes close.
Trump's the only Republican candidate who again could win blue states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
DeSantis' time is 2028, not now. But for this 2024 conversation only, He is iffy right now in being able to win outside the south. The others mentioned above will do worse than DeSantis and will get killed if Trump doesn't run in 2024.

Trump can't win Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania. No Chance. He lost all of them in 2020. His candidates also lot in Michigan and Pennsylvania in the Mid Terms.
