It is a Maiden race but everyone had plenty of starts. The only caveat with maidens--you have to check to make sure he isn't the only horse with a start. By default he'll be the top pick--if so just pass the race.
That's what I was doing, until I noticed how often that horse(s) with the only start was winning.
