I have no problem with the running styles.
I prefer closers to lightening fast races over out of the gate.
My patience ends with the constant grabbing of horses and taking them out of the race out of the gate, dirt or turf.
I think the NYRA jockey colony has some very poor riders, OR some of the stupidest trainers for telling them to grab.
That and now the re-occurring failure to time races correctly, and the stupid idea of changing rail settings.....I don't need it. LOTS of other tracks out there.
My solutions is cut purses significantly.
Maybe is second or third money was not enough to live on, the riders would try a little harder.
No matter, lots of other tracks.
Class my ass - all that matters is the payoffs.
Give me a track where the jock needs the money for dinner.
